County Road 4 and Innisfil 4th Line Intersection Improvements


The County of Simcoe is planning to reconstruct the intersection of County Road 4 (Yonge Street), Innisfil 4th Line and Killarney Beach Road. Reconstruction will include improvements to intersection safety, traffic control and active transportation; as well as upgrades to the existing storm sewer, retaining walls and concrete stairs. Detailed drawings of the planned works​ are available.

FAQs

​The current design was based on historic traffic counts up to 2018, which did not warrant traffic signals.

​Based on the public feedback with respect to traffic signals, the County is currently completing updated traffic counts to review and update the signal warrant analysis. 

​The project site is already a Community Safety Zone. Studies show that improved traffic flow results in safer driver behaviour and speed limit compliance. Additional traffic calming measures are not planned for this intersection.
