The County of Simcoe Paramedic Services periodically runs Save-A-Life CPR Days. During this free training, participants will receive Level A CPR/AED certification. This course includes adult and child CPR, AED and choking modules. There is no cost to attend the event, but participants are asked to bring non-perishable food items to donate to the food bank.
During the November 16, 2019 Save-A-Life CPR day which took place at the Community Hall in Elmvale, residents of the community were certified in the life-saving skills of CPR and defibrillation. Participants at this event also donated over 200 lbs of food and $115.00 cash in support of the local food bank.
***UPDATE*** Due to inclement weather and numerous road closures across the
County of Simcoe on February 28th, the Save-a-Life CPR day scheduled to take place in Barrie on February 29th was cancelled.
Our team of volunteers and instructors were looking
forward to this as much as our registrants. With this in mind, we hope to make
our Save a Life Day in May even bigger and will strive to book a location that
will allow for even greater participation.
Thank you for your understanding and we hope to see you
in May.
