What to do with old boxes, bins and containers
County of Simcoe does not collect old, obsolete green bins, blue boxes, grey boxes or plastic resin containers at the curb.
The following options are available to dispose of your old bins and containers:
1. Keep and re-purpose:
- Yard waste, garden trimmings
- Store recycling before consolidating into your cart
- Moving/storing construction material, firewood, etc.
- Garage storage
Store pet food, bird seed, sand or sidewalk salt
Yard waste, garden trimmings (must remove lid)
Overflow garbage (must have garbage tag affixed)
Storing rakes, shovels, hockey sticks
2. As of November 1st, residents can drop off old curbside collection bins for free until March 31, 2022 only at a
