2019 Ontario Volunteer Service Award Recipients

The Ontario Volunteer Service Awards recognize individual volunteers for continuous years of commitment and dedicated service to an organization. Adults are recognized for five, ten, fifteen, twenty, twenty-five, thirty plus, forty plus, fifty plus and 60 plus years of continuous service.

 

Georgian Manor:

Monette Bellehumeur – 15 years of service

Marie Condren – 10 years of service

Karen Crotin – 5 years of service

Bernice Dorian – 25 years of service

JoAnn Lacroix – 15 years of service

Mary Vaillancourt – 20 years of service

2018 Ontario Senior Achievement Award Recipient

Janet Tipping of Tottenham, a long-time volunteer for Simcoe Village Long-Term Care Centre. She runs a snack shop and an ice cream cart, and shares her musical talent at church and special events. She holds sing-alongs for patients with dementia and helped create over 75 different memory aid books to help the patients with discussing their memories.
