Development charges assist in financing capital projects required to meet the increased need for services resulting from growth and development. Development charge funds may only be used for the purpose for which they are collected.
The information contained in the 2023 Development Charges Bulletin is intended only as a guide. Interested parties should review the approved Development Charges By-law No 6930 effective January 1, 2022, and consult the County of Simcoe's Planning or Finance staff to determine the applicable charges that may apply to specific development proposals.
