Next Steps with Early Intervention
The Simcoe County Early Intervention Services system provides young children with special needs and their families with a wide range of
services and
supports to help them develop to their fullest potential. We support the early identification and treatment of infants and young children with special needs up to six (6) years old, or those who may be at risk of experiencing barriers to development, who live in Simcoe County.

Your child and family have access to a comprehensive system of
services and supports, including:

- A range of therapy services
- Specialized clinical services
- Autism specific services
- Family support and counselling
- Behaviour management
- Psychological services
- Respite
- Subsidy/funding information
- Support for transition to school
Services are free and funded through the County of Simcoe, Ministry of Education, Children’s Treatment Network, Ministry of Children and Youth Services, Ministry of Community and Social Services, Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care.
Some services may be available by French-speaking professionals or interpreters.
Some services may be adapted to meet the needs of First Nation, Métis and Inuit families.
