Why are traffic signals not being installed?
The current design was based on historic traffic counts up to 2018, which did not warrant traffic signals.
When will traffic signals be warranted?
Based on the public feedback with respect to traffic signals, the County is currently completing updated traffic counts to review and update the signal warrant analysis.
Will the speed limit be reduced or will traffic calming measures be installed in Churchill?
The project site is already a Community Safety Zone. Studies show that improved traffic flow results in safer driver behaviour and speed limit compliance. Additional traffic calming measures are not planned for this intersection.
