Outdoor Storage

Transfer your containers outdoors and store them until collection day.

*Bagged organic waste should be placed in green carts which are typically located next to dumpster area (as this location can easily be accessed by waste collection vehicles). Note: carts do NOT require being brought curbside unless this has been specified by the County. Organic material is collected weekly along with the local residential collection.

Use certified compostable bags:

Recyclables should be placed in recycling dumpster(s) in clear plastic bags (containers and paper fibres should be bagged separately). Collection frequency is determined by volume and has been pre-determined by your board to occur either weekly, biweekly or monthly. Don't know your recycling collection schedule or need to notify that your recycling dumpster is overflowing? Contact llg@simcoe.ca

Note: the County does not collect your garbage. Contact your local board representative for garbage collection issues.

Note: Be sure to lock recycling dumpster and organics carts at all times (with Masterlocks provided by the County). It is the same locks and key for the recycling dumpsters and organics carts and each collection driver will have a set so it is not necessary to unlock them on your collection day.
