Ask an Expert Series: Why Your Social Strategy Matters

Midhurst/March 1, 2022 – Business leaders from across Simcoe County are invited to join us on March 30, 2022 from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. for an Ask an Expert session on why your social media strategy matters. Join us to gain enthusiasm and excitement for social media, as you learn tangible strategies that you can begin to implement that will support your business goals.

The session will be led by social media experts and will break down three strategies to help your brand and business stand out on Instagram:

  • Step one will focus on how to introduce yourself to your audience. It all starts with your Instagram bio. Ask yourself, when was the last time you updated your bio? The seasons of our business change so our bio should reflect that. Session experts will share quick techniques to create a bio that connects, resonates and focuses on the ideal clients and customers you hope to serve.
  • Step two will touch on your business message strategy and imagery. Gone are the days when you can get by with just posting a beautiful image. Users of the platform are looking for more than a pretty photo. Session experts will discuss some of our proven strategies for creating captions and accompanying images.
  • Step three will touch on the importance of video as part of your social strategy, with a focus on getting started with Instagram Reels as well as the other video features that may best suit you and your audience.

About the Speakers

Nat Caron - Brand Photographer
Nat started her career in Photography in 1999 and has been running her photography business and studio since 2002. After 10 years of solely working in the wedding and portrait industry, she began to work more and more with commercial clients. Nat recognized that she could help more people by helping them with social media workshops, teaching photography, and how to grow their audience and clientele, she also knew being a part of an online community and podcast meant spreading that education even farther.

Angela Swann-Doyon - Social & Photography Stylist
With over 13 years of combined marketing, social media and event & wedding planning experience, Angela realized that she could merge her marketing talents with her creative eye for style and design a business that helps others with their visual marketing strategy. Many of her earliest childhood photos show her rocking a microphone, so it was only fitting that she is now co-host of the five-star rated podcast, Instagram for Business with The Social Focus.
