Midhurst/ September 6, 2023 – Carson Road and Seadon Road will be closed between September 11 and October 9, as the County makes progress with intersection improvements at CR 53 (Wilson Drive). The closures of parts of CR 53 throughout August have now ended.
These closures are a necessary part of the County's investment to build up transportation infrastructure and improve traffic flow and safety. Temporarily closing roads for construction results in a shorter construction schedule, reduced construction cost, compressed traffic impacts, and a safer work environment for the contractor.
Detour routes will be posted. Access will be maintained for local residents and businesses.
All drivers are reminded to be safe, follow signage instructions and speed limits, and use caution when driving through the construction zone. If possible, drivers are advised to avoid the area while closures are in place.
