Midhurst/April 10, 2017 – Media are invited to attend a special cheque presentation being held during County Council on April 11, 2017.
A representative from the estate of the late Charles Matthews will be making a bequest to the Simcoe County Museum. The presentation represents the first half of a $4.4 million bequest being made to the Simcoe County Museum by the estate.
The estate requested that the funds be used for legacy capital projects related to display, restoration and retention of museum collections and/or the acquisition of museum artifacts. All legacy capital projects and acquisitions will be permanently identified as being the result of the bequest made by the late Charles Matthews.
The cheque presentation will be made at the beginning of County Council on April 11, 2017 (as close to 9 a.m. as possible).
