A prejudgment or assumption about an individual, or a particular group of people without adequate knowledge of who they are. A prejudice is an irrational thought or attitude and can often be based on stereotypes.
- Example: Assuming that the way a person is dressed is an indicator of how they will behave or have much money they have, and having a negative attitude toward them based on this assumption.
