Happy 54th Anniversary, Simcoe County Archives!
As with so many special occasions this year, we are celebrating the Archives' anniversary together, but apart. To learn more about Ontario's oldest county-level archives, visit our Online Exhibits, search the Descriptions and Simcoe County Remembers databases, and browse the Donor Portal. Be sure to check out our Blog - the latest post talks about the researching Black History in Simcoe County.
Collecting Community Responses to the COVID-19 Pandemic
The Archives is looking for the public's assistance in developing a Community Responses to the COVID-19 Pandemic collection. We know that many of you are creating and collecting memories and information about the pandemic. Items are not being accepted at this time, but we have created a guide to assist you in assembling materials for future donation. Visit our Collecting Community Responses to the COVID-19 Pandemic page for more information.
The Simcoe County Archives and the Simcoe County Museum are working together to collect and preserve items that tell the local story of the COVID-19 Pandemic. Visit the Museum's website to learn about how it is Collecting Stories of COVID.
Resource guide: Historical Research from Home
