We treat them with the respect they deserve, as they will form part of the permanent collective memory of Simcoe County. They will be appraised for their historical value, and will receive any cleaning or conservation work which may be required. They will be arranged, described and catalogued to make them accessible to researchers. If you wish to place any reasonable restrictions on the records, that can be arranged. They will be cared for in our state-of-the-art, controlled-environment facility, and stored to archival standards. We will be pleased to provide receipts for income tax purposes for the market value of the records. If they are of national historic value, we can make application to the Cultural Property Export Review Board. In the case of successful applications, donors receive enhanced tax benefits. The Simcoe County Archives holds several collections of national historic value.
