THAT the draft County of Simcoe Annual Accessibility Plan for 2011-2012, attached as Schedule 1 to Item AAC 11-008, be updated in accordance with discussion held at the September 6, 2011 Accessibility Advisory Committee for presentation at the September 26, 2011 meeting of the Accessibility Advisory Committee;

AND THAT the 2011-2012 draft work plan for the Accessibility Advisory Committee, attached as Schedule 1 to Item AAC 11-011, be updated in accordance with discussion held at the September 6, 2011 Accessibility Advisory Committee for presentation at the September 26, 2011 meeting of the Accessibility Advisory Committee.

Mr. Stein circulated information regarding the annual meeting which will be held September 14, 2011 at Hawk Ridge Golf and Country Club in Orillia.

Chair Papp-Belayneh reviewed the information provided on the handout by Independent Living Services of Simcoe County and advised of activities of the Innisfil Accessibility Advisory Committee.

Mr. Stein advised of activities on the Simcoe County Board of Education Accessibility Advisory Committee.

Ms. Smith reviewed information regarding the Enabling Accessibility Fund through Human Resources and Skills Development Canada.

He also provided information from the Association of Municipalities of Ontario Conference.

Mr. Mein advised of activities of the Accessibility Advisory Committee for the Township of Adjala-Tosorontio.

Deputy Warden Hughes reported on accessibility improvements at the Township of Oro-Medonte Township office.
  1. Collingwood Accessibility Advisory Committee
Mr. Yuristy advised that the Collingwood Accessibility Advisory Committee is undergoing some membership changes.
  1. Simcoe County Child, Children Youth and Family Coalition
Ms. Talon advised of a second Board-to-Board Forum event on September 13, 2011.
