Master of Ceremonies - Tony Grace
Tony Grace is the Senior Anchor
and Producer of CTV News at 6, an award-winning regional newscast based in
Barrie with an audience of more than 80,000.
With 20 years in broadcasting,
Tony is an accomplished host, storyteller and writer. His work as a
local and national reporter has taken him from small towns across Canada to
Parliament Hill, the Prime Minister’s Office, and Ground Zero in New
York. He graduated with honours from the Broadcast Journalism
school at Loyalist College in Belleville, where he continues to chair the
college’s Journalism Advisory Board and actively mentor students. He also
supports the journalists of tomorrow through a yearly scholarship in his name.
Tony grew up in the small town of Petawawa, and has a
deep appreciation for what it means to be a community builder and leader.
He is a seasoned master of ceremonies, with his services requested for dozens
of events each year.
In addition to his professional work, Tony is
an avid runner and fitness enthusiast, a local history buff, a food lover, an
admitted political junkie, and a sports fan. He is honoured to have been
asked to host the Simcoe County Warden’s Gala for the sixth year in a row.
Entertainment - The Second City Works
Revered as The Harvard of Comedy, The Second City name is synonymous with the art of sketch comedy and improvisation. Performing sketch comedy for more than 56 years, their unique brand and creative process has cultivated the talents of such comedy heavyweights and legends as Joan Rivers, Gilda Radner, John Belushi, John Candy, Bill Murray, Martin Short, Stephen Colbert, Tina Fey, and Amy Poehler, just to name a few.
Musical Entertainment - Louis Lefaive
Louis Lefaive has been a fixture in Simcoe County for most of his life. His varied musical interests have reflected in a career as educator, recording artist, singer songwriter, arranger and bandleader. Louis gigs frequently as soloist, accompanist, with his family "La famille Lefaive" (celtic and french folk music), with his bands "Louis Lefaive and the Kings of Swing", "Rubber Soul" (a Beatles tribute band), in his local church, Par Hasard (French original music) as well as a sub in many local bands. Louis also has his own recording studio called the Pocket Studio where many of his own projects as well as projects involving a variety of other artists have been realized.
