Curbside Collections

For more information on what is acceptable in each of the curbside collection bins please click the links provided below, or you can view the Sorting Guide for a list of acceptable materials. Recycling collection is two stream which means that paper fibres must be separate from containers using two recycling boxes. Have material out to the curb by 7:00AM on your collection day.

Winter Collection Reminders

  • Place collection materials in a visible location at end of driveway (on right side facing the road.)
  • Do NOT place collection materials on a snow bank or on the street. If necessary shovel a small area.
  • Materials frozen inside bins may not be collected. To prevent freezing, try lining your green bin with newspaper and keep your recyclables in a dry location.
  • Stack recycling boxes with containers on the top to prevent materials from blowing out.
  • If prior to collection materials are hit by snow removal equipment or are filled with snow, it is the resident's responsibility to clean up materials.

Application for New Waste Service
The County has implemented a process of application for collection service for residents on private roads and multi-family developments. In order to be eligible, units must have ownership of waste (materials placed at the curbside in front of their individual units) and roads must meet the design standards policy.
