Simcoe County Home Child CareSimcoe County Home Child Care<p>The County of Simcoe Children and Community Services Department has directly operated a licensed Home Child Care program for more than 25 years. We currently have 30 approved homes throughout Simcoe County offering quality child care for families in receipt of fee subsidy. </p><p>The program is licensed by the Ontario Ministry of Education and the County is able to approve up to 75 homes to provide care.</p><p>Two full-time Child Care Representatives, who are registered with the College of Early Childhood Educators, support our providers. They monitor the homes and ensure compliance with the Child Care and Early Years Act and County of Simcoe Policy and Procedure through monthly home visits and quarterly home inspections.</p><p>We offer in-home activities, provider professional development, field trips, provider play days, curriculum, and an equipment lending library. </p><p>Home Child Care is available to no more than six children per home from infant to 12 years of age. Child Care Agency Funding/Financement des agences de garde d'enfantsChild Care Agency Funding/Financement des agences de garde d'enfants<p>The County of Simcoe is the designated Child Care Service System Manager (CMSM) responsible for planning and managing the early years services at the local level. Early years services are managed through a service planning process that reflects current child care legislation, regulations and directives. Child care service system planning is critical to supporting the broader system goals of an increasingly co-ordinated and integrated early learning and care system for children and families. Ces services sont gérés en suivant un processus de planification qui reflète les lois, les règlements et les directives actuels en matière de garde d'enfants. Étant de plus en plus coordonnée et complémentaire, la planification est essentielle pour appuyer les objectifs de services plus vastes dans le domaine de l'apprentissage de la petite enfance et des services de garde pour les enfants et les familles. La planification se fait de manière continue et elle repose sur les besoins de la communauté locale, suivant un processus impliquant les fournisseurs de services de garde, les conseils scolaires et les parties prenantes locales.</p><p>On trouvera ci-dessous un résumé des financements offerts pour soutenir les fournisseurs de services de garde d'enfants qui sont sous contrat avec le comté de Simcoe. </p><blockquote dir="ltr" style="margin-right:0px;"><p><span lang="FR-CA" style="text-decoration:underline;">Fonctionnement général </span></p><p>Le financement de fonctionnement général a pour objectif de couvrir certains coûts d'exploitation d'un programme de garde d'enfants agréé afin de réduire le temps d'attente et les frais des services, de stabiliser les niveaux de service et, lorsque les fonds le permettent, d'améliorer l'accès des enfants et des familles à des services d'apprentissage de la petite enfance et de garde d'enfants abordables et de grande qualité. The Home Child Care Program is licensed by the Ministry of Education to approve up to 75 homes within the County of Simcoe. Providers are self-employed but work closely with a home visitor to ensure that all requirements of the Program are maintained. </p> <strong>Program Objectives</strong> <ul><li>The provision of a warm, stimulating, smoke-free home environment where children can develop physically, emotionally, socially, intellectually and creatively. </li><li>The assurance that children are safe, have a place to rest and play, and are provided with nutritious snacks and meals. </li><li>The opportunity to develop feelings of trust, friendship, self-confidence and responsibility. </li><li>To foster a sense of teamwork amongst Parents/Guardians, Care Providers and Home Visitors. </li></ul><p>We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who are willing to open their homes to children from birth to 12 years of age.
