Students can bring their classroom organics and recycling to a temporary depot during designated times to consolidate material. We suggest 3-5 times a week during lunch / nutrition break (and always before weekend and holidays).
This depot may contain larger, wheeled bins which classroom waste can be emptied into. These temporary depot bins should be manned by green team members and/or custodian in order to monitor contamination and provide feedback to take back to the classroom.
After emptying, ensure that each bin is re-lined with the appropriate bag liner to then be returned to the classroom.
Once the depot is closed for the day, custodians are responsible for transferring waste to outdoor containers to store until collection day.
