53. (1) No division registrar, sub-registrar, funeral director or person employed in the service of Her Majesty shall communicate or allow to be communicated to any person not entitled thereto any information obtained under this Act, or allow any such person to inspect or have access to any records containing information obtained under this Act.
Records from 1873 through the years accessible under the privacy legislation are available through the Archives of Ontario. The Simcoe County Archives holds a complete set of indexes to these registers, which it can order for your in-house view through inter-institutional loan. To access records restricted under the legislation, you must contact the Ontario Office of the Registrar General.
